Major 5 Reasons Why You Should Stop Cooking With Canned Tomato Paste

Due to the increased price of food, including tomatoes, Nigerians have been forced to use tomato paste more, as we basically cannot prepare many meals without cooking our much loved tomato stew.

Basically, Nigerians enjoy eating meals that would have the red stew made from tomatoes in it.
5 reasons why you should stop cooking with canned tomato paste
Learn 5 potential dangers of canned tomato paste
There are some health hazards attached to the use of tomato paste. This is mainly as a result of the packaging. Nigerians are used to calling tomato paste ‘Tin tomato’ as a result of the containers in which they are sold. Only a few brands sell theirs in sachet.
Using tomato paste is more or less the same as buying fresh tomatoes and making them into pastes yourself. However, the moment they are packaged in tins and cans, their composition changes. This is because of the presence of Bisphenol-A, a harmful chemical used to coat the linings of cans and most plastic products. This chemical can leak into foods and become a potential threat to your health.
Find below some of the dangers involved in cooking with tomato paste which is packed in cans or tins that are coated with Bisphenol-A:
1. Hormonal disruption
Bisphenol-A can cause hormonal disruption in humans if it is leaked into the tomato paste that will be used in cooking. We are usually at risk because of the duration in which the tomato paste gets stored in those tins or cans that are coated with this harmful chemical.

2. Risk of miscarriage
Without boring you with the chemical composition of this harmful chemical, the disintegration of Bisphenol-A in the body which is leaked as a result of tomato paste packaged in cans that are lined with it can put you at risk when it comes to miscarriage.
Tomato pastes are being singled out of all products that could be packed into cans and containers because tomatoes are highly acidic. They can absorb more of the Bisphenol-A chemical from the tin coating into the food.

3. Increased risk of cancer
Just like any other processed food that has been packed for too long, there is every tendency that some of the regular consumers would end up with cancer. The BPA chemical puts one at risk of cancer and since tomatoes are high offenders of the chemicals considering their high level of acidity, consuming this product is not so healthy.

4. Malfunction of organs in children
Although the economic situation has forced many homes in the country to improvise and make more use of tomato paste, it may not seem like a healthy choice for the children especially if the tomato pastes are in cans and tins. This puts them at risk of consuming the Bisphenol-A (BPA) chemical which could cause some of their organs to malfunction.

Also, continuous consumption of this chemical which could have been absorbed into the tomato paste used for cooking could increase the risk of mental disabilities in babies. This means it is not a healthy choice for expecting mothers.

5. Sperm defects
Bisphenol-A chemical has the ability to disrupt the development of sperm in men. This means that continuous intake of this chemical through the use of tin tomato would lead to a decline in male fertility. BPA mimics the effects of estrogen and end up damaging the stem cells.
That being said, we understand that tomato paste is an essential commodity at this point and not everyone would be able to avoid cooking with it.
However, one could be careful and minimize the use of canned tomato paste. Fresh tomatoes or organic tomato pastes in jars could be used instead. If you are a lover of tomato paste, you can try learning how to make it yourself. This way you can monitor what you eat and reduce your chances of being sick.

Simeon Panda, 30, and his partner Chanel Brown, 24, have been dubbed 'the world's fittest couple', and for a good reason. The duo from London reportedly work out together on daily basis. Each of them have also built a brand out of their body physiques.

The couple practically makes a living out of their extraordinary and envy-inducing body physiques.

The pair work out together almost every day and also have matching diets - with the exception of Simeon eating 'copious amounts more' with bigger portions

Besides their public display of fitness that leaves young men and women dying of wild envy and admiration, Panda owns his own clothing and gym accessories brand, whereas Brown runs a beauty brand and lifestyle blog, where she releases a series of workout guides.

They currently have a combined social media followers of over 8 million.

So how exactly did they build their unique body physiques and what does it take to maintain it?
"We work out together daily and push each other to perform our best during workouts. We aren't competitive with each other at all, but we ensure we are both working to the best of our abilities," says Panda.

Simeon travels the world attending fitness expos and says he loves meeting fans who often beg him for selfies - but girlfriend Chanel insists that she doesn't get jealous.

The couple train for about an hour and a half every day and insists on strict diet. Interestingly, they have matching diets, with the exception of Panda eating a little bit more with bigger portions than Brown.
"Our diet is healthy 90 per cent of the time. Our regular meals are high in protein with whole grain carbs and a substantial portion of vegetables. A typical meal could be a power bowl of stir fried diced chicken breast in olive oil, with butternut squash, beetroot, kale and whole grain brown rice," says Panda.

Blogger Chanel, who has more than 210,000 Instagram followers, lets fans download details of her full training regime, diet, supplements guide and favourite products.

The cute-looking Brown, who boasts an enviably toned bik*ni body, says she used to be a 'shapeless size 4' before she took up lifting and built her dream curves.

Panda, on the other hand, hit the gym and started fitness thing when he was 15. He says he started out with just one dumbbell in his bedroom.
"I was a skinny teenager and like many at that age, thought I would try my hand at weightlifting, not knowing that I would fall in love with it from the very first time I picked up a dumbbell," says Panda, a former client support worker who quit his well-paying nine-to-five office job with an accounting software company in December 2013 to focus on fitness.

He now travels across the world judging bodybuilding competitions and attending fitness expos and seminars where he comes face to face with some of his fans.

And the hot girls can't just get enough of him. They want selfies and they want it right away. But doesn't this make Brown jealous? Not it doesn't, and here is why.
"I don't get jealous of female attention, as that would defeat the purpose of sharing our lives on social media," says Brown.

Panda says he met Brown in 2012 and was literally brown away by her cuteness. They love each other, and they have unwavering passion for their fitness business.

Khloe Kardashian releases incredible after photo of her 18kg weight loss inckuding before photo

American television personality, socialite and entrepreneur, Khloe Kardashian’s new TV show, Revenge Body, is set to debut next week and she’s inspiring her fans with motivational photos.
On Saturday, the 32-year-old illustrated her stunning 18kg weight loss with a before-and-after picture taken from the red carpet years ago and on a recent night out.
Khloe captioned her photo:

“If you were to ask me five years ago if I ever saw myself being completely in love with fitness and health. That I would be an inspiration to many others, that I would be the push that others needed to find their way. I would’ve laughed in your face.
Me? The chubby one? No way! But now I can’t see myself ever stopping!”
I am completely honored and taking my role seriously in helping motivate and teach people what I had to learn to better myself from the inside out. Becoming stronger mentally so I can’t let the little things break me down. I see myself only getting better and better! I can’t believe how far I have come! I almost can’t believe that was me!
If you’ve lost your motivation don’t beat yourself up about it, negative thoughts only turn into negative realities. By keeping positive about your body, your inner health, your mental sanity, your fitness and what you’re trying to achieve, you’re way more likely to succeed.
My fitness journey was for myself and myself alone. On my terms and on my timeline! Cheers to us becoming better than we were yesterday! #RevengeBody

A Nigerian Lady Shares A Powerful Story Saying “I Got Pregnant And Gave Birth At 11 When I Was In Primary 5, But Now I’m Married, With A Masters Degree”

The young woman in the photo above shared this post on her facebook account saying: “Sometime 20 years ago, I was naive and influenced bypeer pressure. My dad was and is still a strict disciplinarian, mum on the other hand was a bit soft on us and let us have our way. She practically covered for and took sides with me especially (being her only daughter amongst 3 sons).

I got out of hand and starting moving with the wrong set of friends, got pregnant at age 11 (primary 5)and then my whole world crumbled. The harsh reality of life began to unfold as I had to drop out of school, I couldn’t sit for my First School Leaving Certificate Examination(FSLC).

People in my neighbourhood made mockery of me my dad couldn’t bare it, so he sent me out of the house and I had to go to the village to live with my grandma. In order to survive and fend for myself (as grandma isn’t working) I had to summon courage and face my own devil, I knew I was the cause of my predicaments and didn’t put the blame on my mum or anyone.

I started street hawking selling all sorts ranging from tapioca (kpokpo garri), roasted pork meat, roasted maggots, Madiga bread, sachet water etc. Few months later I had my baby, saved some cash (through hawking) which I used to re-enroll for my FSLC, I passed with a “merit”.

Still in the street hawking business, I saw myself through secondary school, I was determined to show my folks that I truly regretted my actions and is now a serious child. Enrolled for WAEC cleared all my papers likewise my JAMB and then gained admission into the university.

When my dad saw how focused I had become, they took my child and I back, sent me off to the university and took care of my baby. To cut the long story short, I’m now a M.ed holder from the University of Lagos State Akoka, a successful teacher and happily married by His grace.

My son is currently a 200-Level Law student. Strangers thinks he’s my younger brother because the age gap between us is so close. My son is my life, he’s the reason I am where I am today as his presence into this world made me a responsible individual.”

6 methods to ask a girl out and she will say YES immediately, especially when you do number 3 and 5

Getting a girl is not as easy as you think particularly
when it comes to dealings with Nigerian girls.
However, most guys are nurturing the ideas that
Nigeria girls are CHEAP and easy to be SCREWED
once you have the money.

Anyway, it’s not all girls, a friend of mine will say. There
are some Nigerian girls that are so hard to get that
you will begin to wonder if she is not a Nigerian.
No matter how hard a girl seems to be, the right guy
can still get into her heart because girls naturally are
fragile in heart as so, they need to be followed up slowly, especially when you are nursing the idea of
starting a relationship with them.

1. Write a nice letter. You don’t have to explicitly write
“I love you” in the note, but you can outline the things
you admire about the other person. A lot of people
prefer to write down their feelings because it allows
you time to revise your words so that they’re just
right.
If possible, write your feelings down with a pen and
paper instead of on a computer. Your unique
handwriting adds a personal touch to the letter, and
he or she might like to have a physical object that
represents your feelings.
Before you start, write a small brainstorm of all the
things you like or admire about him or her. Note
close experiences you’ve shared, or things that
remind you of the other person.
Grab a good sheet of paper. If you don’t have
stationary lying around, use copy paper – it will look
neater than note paper.

2. Make eye contact. Whenever you can, meet the
other person’s eyes. Don’t stare after him or her
constantly, but do allow yourself to be caught looking
at his or her face once in a while. When you’ve been
detected, smile a little bit and hold the gaze for
another second before looking away.

3. Show your feelings through your actions. Non-
verbal cues can count for a lot, and allow someone to
see how you feel without putting yourself out there
too much. Here are some possibilities:
Smile. The best thing you can do is also the easiest –
throw your loved one a sincere smile whenever you
can. Whenever you do, try to hold his or her eyes for
slightly longer than a second.
Make your body language seem receptive. A side
effect of being nervous around this person might be
that your body language seems closed off or
unapproachable. Try to reverse this by keeping your
arms unfolded, and your arms loose at your sides or
clasped behind your back. Turn your body toward the
other person when you’re talking to them, including
your feet. Incline your head toward them when you
make eye contact.
Don’t worry about blushing. You can’t control when
you blush anyway, but if you find yourself doing it
around him or her, just go with it. In a way, a blush is
a useful signal to the other person letting them know
how you feel – so let it do its work!
Wink. If you can manage it, try to throw him or her a
sly wink every now and then. Don’t do it too often –
no more than once every few days.

4. Try a few light physical touches. Initiating physical
contact with someone lets him or her know you want
more closeness. Start small, by walking or sitting
near the other person. If that goes well, try touching
his or her arm lightly during a conversation. Other
possibilities after that include putting an arm around
the other person’s shoulders, playfully “bumping”
into him or her with the side of your hip, and playing
footsie.

5. Do small favors without a word. Sometimes, the
best favor is one you don’t have to even ask for. If
you know for sure that he or she needs something
done or would appreciate a certain gesture, just do
it. When the other person discovers your deed, just
smile. If you have to make a comment, say “I wanted
to help you” or “You’re welcome.” Don’t make it into a
big discussion – let the action stand alone and
communicate how much you care.

6. Be Romantic: Girls like romantic guys, so be
romantic with your words. Don’t forget to tell her
how beautiful she is and how happy you are each

Hot! 10 Reasons Why Curvy Girls are Absolutely Great in Bed

Curvy girls are usually the most admired by men. These tips are reasons why they are also the greatest in bed.

1. It’s a scientific fact
Try and fight it, you won’t be able to. Because scientific research proves that men are genetically wired to be s*xually attracted to a woman with curves.
Men rate the sexiest women as those who have a waist which is 60% of their hip size. Guys love our hourglass figure  – not least of all in the bedroom.
2. Confidence
Having boobs and a backside, a bit of cellulite or something to grab hold of is not exclusively what makes a curvy woman sexy – it’s knowing how to rock it that matters.
Beauty has nothing to do with size and everything to do with confidence. And confidence has everything to do with amazing sex.
3. A healthy appetite
Nothing is sexier than a woman who knows how to indulge – she wants the cake she eats it, she wants the wine she drinks it, she wants the orgasm, prepare yourself, no one’s leaving this room until…
And trust me, a girl who knows how to eat – knows how to *eat*
4. Life’s too short to go gluten-free
Or you could date the girl who refuses to swallow (extra calories), won’t eat dessert and spends the post-sex cuddle trying to convert you to the Paleo diet.
5. Boobs
OK, not all curvy girls are blessed with big boobs, but the chances do sway slightly more in their favour.
Tits aren’t everything, but man, a decent pair rocking an Agent Provocateur underwear set is not going to hurt in the ‘turning up the heat’ department.
6. Bums
According to a study by Oxford University, big butts result in healthy children because of the high amount of Omega 3 fatty acids they store – so if you thought it was the PVC dress stretched over Kim Kardashian’s booty getting you hot, think again.
It’s your subconscious evolutionary way of ensuring healthy kids.
7. Let’s focus on the important things…
We don’t care about fitting into a pair of size 6 jeans and instead spend our time on fun things like the reverse cow girl and multiple orgasms.
8. Fewer bruises
Our soft womanly curves are the perfect place to rest your weary, post-shagging head.
9. Curvy girls were the original supermodels
Take a walk through an art gallery and you’ll see that curvy girls have long been associated with beauty and sex appeal.
Thousands of years of history can’t be wrong.

MY STORY OF ADDICTION EPISODE 47 & 48

I walked over to the Adeboye’s with a forced smile. I could see that Bidemi was looking away from us. I guessed she never expected to see a girl with me so soon. We exchanged greetings.
Me: hi girls
Kikelomo: hello Femi…. we dint know that you would be having a visitor today.
Me: Yes… I dint know either. this is the young girl I told you about.
Kikelomo: (confused) What girl are you talking about?
Me: she’s my home teacher…. it was because of her I left your house earlier that day.
Kikelomo: Okay…. (facing her) my name is Kikelomo and this is my kid sister Bidemi. it’s nice to meet you.
Chidinma: I’m Chidinma; it’s nice meeting you guys too.
We all entered the house and we started chatting. It never took long before Kikelomo and Chidinma develop a strong bond between them. Maybe it’s because of the university exposure that they both have. They kept talking until I drag Bidemi away with me to have a private discussion. We are now alone from Kikelomo and Bidemi.
Me: how are you doing now?
Bidemi: I’m fine… I thought you don’t want to have anything to do with me again.
Me: I wish I could but I just can’t..
Bidemi: why can’t you?
Me: (changing the topic) my mum employed Chidinma as my home teacher. I can’t imagine to be tutored by a girl.
Bidemi: (Smiling) there’s nothing strange about it.
Me: I just hope it won’t affect my reputation among my friends.
Bidemi: it’s nothing really… so where were you guys coming from when we saw you?
Me: we went to eat.
Bidemi: Okay…. I’m sorry about what happened the other day; I hope you have forgiven me?
Me: sure… why won’t I? you are my sweetheart… I can’t but live with your mistakes
Bidemi: thank you (leans over for a kiss)
She kissed me and we continued chatting. Kikelomo and Chidinma joined us.
It’s now 3pm. Chidinma wants to take her leave. I excused the Adeboye’s to see her off. I told her to please come around 8:30am tomorrow. She assured me of coming early. I collected her number and she leaves.
It’s now me and the Adeboye’s. We talked about the event of the other day and Bidemi apologise to me and Kikelomo. I was very happy that the two sisters were back together. We were chatting and laughing when my phone rang. It was Adedoyin. I excused myself to pick the call. I picked it while walking away.
Me: hello Adedoyin
Adedoyin: hi Femi… I’m just bored… I just want to hear your voice.
Me: really…. I’m feeling the same way too but I just don’t want to disturb you because we already concluded to see tomorrow.
Adedoyin: no oooo…. you are free to call anytime you want to…. at least it would make both of us happy.
We continued chatting with my heart in my mouth knowing fully well that the Adeboye’s would be waiting for me. I looked for a way to discharge her.
Me: I have to go now. I have to go pick my kid sister. I will call you as soon as I get back
Adedoyin: Okay dear… I will be expecting your call
Me: Okay… bye.
I terminated the call only to see the Adeboye’s staring at me.
48
I moved over to them and Bidemi asked me “who were you on the phone with since morning?” I looked at Kikelomo and I replied “a friend”.
I was about to explain (lie) when another call rang on my phone. It was David’s (Motunrayo). I showed them that he’s the one that just called now. I pressed the red button to end the call. They were not really convinced. We went back to the living room and we chitchat for a while before they went to their house.
it’s now 5pm. I’m now left alone to decide how tomorrow will look like.
I dialled David’s (Motunrayo) number and she picked with the first beep.
Motunrayo: hello ife mi
Me: hello… how are you doing?
Motunrayo: I’m fine… and you?
Me: I’m fine… thank you for asking
Motunrayo: you welcome
Me: are we still seeing tomorrow?
Motunrayo: yes… I can’t wait to see you.
Me: (See me ke) Me too but there is something I want to tell you
Motunrayo: Okay… I’m all ears
Me: my mum just employ home teacher for me … I don’t want to give her an impression that I’m not serious.
Motunrayo: (voice low) so what are you saying?
Me: I think we should make it Thursday or Friday.
Motunrayo: (not happy) ooh… I had cancelled all my appointment to be with you tomorrow…
Me: I’m sorry.. let’s make it Thursday.
Motunrayo: Okay .. no problem.
We chatted for 5mins and we ended the call. She seems not happy with her not coming over tomorrow but who cares. I have got my hands full right now. I will make it up to her another time.
One down; two to go… but who would that be … Adedoyin or Ruka. I just have to make something works out tomorrow. I dialled Ruka’s number and she picked.
Ruka: hello dear
Me: hi love…. you seems so excited today. what’s the secret?
Ruka: Nothing much… I just ended a call from one of my friends now. She is also coming for the audition. I’m so excited.
Me: hmnnnnn…. it’s great that your friends are coming …
Ruka: yes…. but I’m expecting only two people. you and her. I told her about you.
Me: really… what did you tell her? hope you dint tell her that tomorrow is my graduation day?
Ruka: what graduation are you talking about?
Me: I mean…. the day I moved from being casual friend to your boyfriend.
Ruka: what if I did? Hope you won’t rescind on your decision of coming again?
Me: (opportunity) no ooo… I will surely come but….
Ruka: but what?
Me: definitely late… I’m sorry…. my mum sent me to her friends place at Iyana-iba area. I would have left early for the place but she insisted on me coming around 2pm.
Ruka: (sad) Okay…. no problem.
Me: Okay… but anything that happens, I hope you would tell me my result tomorrow.
Ruka: (voice low) okay… just try as much as you can to be there. even if it’s late.
Me: I will….. I just want you to know about it.
We chatted for awhile and we ended the call.
I can’t afford not to go to Ruka’s audition. She seems to be looking forward seeing me there. Not even now that I know how she feels about me not coming. I just have to look for a way to go there.
Motunrayo is out of the way now… let me call Adedoyin; maybe she would understand my plight. I dialled Adedoyin’s number and she picked.
Adedoyin: hello Femi… I thought you would not call again.
Me: I’m sorry… got my hands full after we ended our last call but I’m free now
Adedoyin: Okay… hope you are fine?
Me: I’m okay and you?
Adedoyin: very happy…. I just can’t wait to see you
Me: me too. At least I can know what you look like…
Adedoyin: (giggles) I hope you won’t be disappointed when you eventually see me
Me: no oooo… I don’t think so… Sarah has said so much about you that makes me know that I won’t be
Adedoyin: Okay oooo… if you say so
Me: Adedoyin…. I think I’m scared…
Adedoyin: what are you scared about?
Me: I have a bad feeling that you might not forgive me for what I’m about to tell you
Adedoyin: we are not even that close not to forgive one another. So tell me what the feeling is all about.
Me: when are we going to be through tomorrow?
Adedoyin: why do you want to know when we would be through? Tomorrow would Decide that. But definitely before your 8pm deadline.
Me: Okay….. it’s just that my only sister is doing her modelling audition tomorrow. I’m supposed to be her only family there. Our parents are not attending. This audition means a lot to her. I will be glad if I can leave around 3pm tomorrow to attend my sisters audition.
Adedoyin: that’s no problem… at least we supposed to have known ourselves more better before then. You can leave 3pm.
Me: thank you… thank you…
Adedoyin: it’s nothing… I just hope you will make use of the time with me very well.
Me: sure…. I’m dying to see you.
We chatted for what seems like ages and we ended the call.
Thank God that things are working fine now. I’m very sure that Bidemi won’t come around tomorrow because she will be aware of my unavailability due to my tutorial.
I was happy in a confused way. Thinking and hoping things would get complicated tomorrow. What if my nightmare eventually comes true? Bidemi’s dad has a short gun quite alright. I just hope it won’t come to pass.
I kept being pessimistic about the event of tomorrow. That I slept off.
It’s now Tuesday. The day that would decide my faith in my relationships. It’s 10minutes to seven. I dashed to the bathroom and took my bath. I put on something casual because I expected my mum to still be around. I went to her room to greet her.
Me: ekaro ma (good morning ma)
Mummy: morning my son… how was your night?
Me: it’s okay… just that I’m not used to waking up early now.
Mummy: don’t worry, you will get over it… it’s just a matter of time.
Me: I hope so mum
Mummy: Chidinma told me that you ved agreed with her teaching you
Me: it’s a tough decision but I think we will get along.
Mummy: it’s good to hear that… I’m off to work. just make sure you get along.
She left for work and I’m the only one left in the house.

The Truth About Dbanj’s Marriage Revealed…See Interesting Details

Following the widespread reports that Nigerian pop sensation, Dbanj, is married, a revelation of what really happened has been made.
Dbanj
Is popular pop singer, Dbanj married or not? Ever since social media went agog with the news that Dbanj had finally quit bachelorhood, this question has become the most asked among fans of the Kokomaster as he is fondly called.
Penultimate week, bloggers went to town with news that the pop singer got married to Lineo Kilgrow, who is reportedly an undergraduate of the University of Abuja.
To some, the news is a big deal while to others, it is an attempt by Dbanj to attract more attention to himself and ultimately, his music.
Even though fans are eager for Dbanj to divulge the true details, Sunday Scoop can authoritatively reveal that contrary to what is being reported in the entertainment circles, Dbanj did not have a court wedding.  What took place was a formal introduction ceremony as it is customary between a groom’s family and that of his bride-to-be.
It was learnt that Dbanj pleaded with his bride’s parents for the introduction to be hosted at his father’s house in Lagos because he did not want it to be an all-comers affair. Luckily, they were in support of his suggestion, a source told Sunday Scoop.
The introduction was witnessed by only close family members of the couple. The Kokomaster was unhappy the news leaked but was again comforted by the knowledge that bloggers got many of the facts wrong. According to his camp, he did not get married at Onigbongbo Registry, Ikeja, neither did the couple have a traditional introduction in Jos, Plateau State.
A source close to Dbanj told Sunday Scoop that Dbanj chose not to react to the news making the rounds.
“Dbanj has given so much information about himself to the public and he deserves to keep some things private and this is one of those things. He is not worried about losing female fans, he just wants his marriage and the impending white wedding off public radar,” the source said.
