President Muhammadu Buhari has called on Nigerian youths to imbibe the virtues of hard work and resourcefulness passed down by the late Murtala Mohammed who died forty years ago.
The president who was speaking at the Murtala Mohammed 40th anniversary Memorial Lecture in Abuja described the late Head of State as exceptional, saying that the shadow of his death still hangs over Nigeria.
The Memorial Lecture on Regional Security and
State Building was delivered by the former Chief of Defence Staff to the United Kingdom, Lord David Richards.
He emphasised the need for command and control over strategy and tactics if the military must succeed in the fight against insurgency.
