Early unofficial results have favoured the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and the immediate past Senate president, David Mark against his main rival, David Onjeh, of the All Progressives Congress, at the ongoing Benue South Senatorial district re-run election.

Mark has reportedly won his polling unit with 150 votes against 37 votes of Onjeh in the VIP1, Otukpo Club, and Township ward.
Also, in another polling unit, VIP II, Mark polled 97 to edge out Onjeh with just 19 votes.
