S ex Scandal: Meet The Three Lawmakers Who Embarrassed Nigeria In U.S.

41 years old Hon. Mohammed Gololo Garba is representing Gamawa, Bauchi State at the Federal House of Representatives under the umbrella of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

He attended Barewa College, Zaria, where he obtained West African School Certificate in 1994. In 2002, he obtained a B.Sc from the Lagos State University, while in the year 2005, he bagged his MBA from the same university.

After his university education, Mohammed Garba Gololo worked at the Operations, National Maritime Authority.

His Legislative Interests border on maritime, works and transport, appropriation, defense, procurement, aviation, petroleum/gas and energy.

Mohammed Garba Gololo is an Alumni of Barewa Old Boys Association.

Lawmakers

Hon. Samuel Okon Ikon

Hon. Samuel Okon Ikon is 43 years of age born to the family of Elder Okon Ikon of Mbioto Ekpene Ituen in Etinan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. He represents the Etinan/Nsit Ibom/Nsit Ubium Constituency Akwa Ibom State at the lower chamber, under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Samuel attended Federal Government College Ikot Ekpene where he obtained the West African School Certificate in 1989. The graduate of Economics from the University of Calabar started his career in the private sector where he acquired lots of experience as the Director/Managing Director of many companies.

Hon. Samuel who also holds an MBA from the University of Uyo joined politics, and was elected into the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly in the year 2007, and he was there until the year 2011. There, he was the chairman of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly committee on appropriation/ finance. He later became the Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, and the Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria. He was also the Executive Committee member, CPA (African Region).

In the year 2015, Samuel Okon Ikon was elected into the Federal House of Representatives. His Legislative Interests border on youth empowerment, environmental protection, attracting of federal projects in his constituency and advancing issues to strengthen the legislature.

Hon. Mark Terseer Gbillah

44 years old Mark  Terseer Gbillah represents the Gwer East/Gwer West Federal constituency at the green chamber.

The APC lawmaker attended Mount Saint Gabriel School Makurdi. He studied Building at the University of Jos, and proceeded to University of Liverpool for his post-graduate studies.

After his studies, Mark Gbillah served as the Chief Executive Officer of Cyrosure Global Ltd, a company whose object clause includes construction, international and local consultancy, real estate, international franchise, telecommunications, agriculture, etc.

He was a consultant to Huawei, Syngenta, Trussnet etc. He was also the AG COO/ Head of Operations, Broron Group USA/ Nigeria, an international telecommunications service company that is based in the United States and Nigeria.

Gbilla also served as the head of project management & implementation of Mobitel Ltd, Lagos, a project management, contract negotiation & management, planning and strategy company. He worked with Itelios Towers Nigeria as project manager. At Airtel Nigeria, he was a project specialist.

His legislative interests include appropriation and procurement processes, anti-corruption, telecommunication services and infrastructure, effective oversight, public and private sector accountability, constitutional control of herdsmen, security and defense.

Greennews.ng recalls that the U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria James Entwistle, in a letter dated June 9, 2016 specifically accused the three Lawmakers of attempting to rape a Hotel housekeeper, as well as soliciting sex from prostitutes at the International Visitor Leadership Programme on Good Governance.

The three lawmakers have, however, denied the allegations, threatening to sue the US government for defamation.

The U.S. government has also cancelled the Visas of the three members of the House of Representatives.
