This is the touching moment one dad decided to share his daughter’s wedding day with his daughter’s stepdad.
Todd Bachman was halfway through walking his daughter Brittany Peck down the aisle when he stopped, leaving everyone puzzled.
Todd, 43, then dashed back, stopping the procession, to grab her stepfather Todd Cendrosky, 45, in an incredible gesture.
The two men then led Brittany, 21, down the aisle together, both in tears, before she married Jeremy.
Images of the moment, which have happened on Saturday in Elyria, Ohio, were posted online by the photographer, Delia D Blackburn.
She wrote on Facebook:
“Grab tissues… because you will need it as you look through these pictures.Not a dry eye at the ceremony..including me! Families are what we make them…make it about your kids and not your ego.”Congratulations Todd Bachman on showing your kids what true love really is…love for your children.”Please share so that we can spread kindness throughout!”
Bachman later explained the Chronicle-Telegram newspaper:
“He has been as much a part of her life as me.”
And Cendrosky added:
“I don’t have ‘stepdaughters’ … I have daughters, and when Todd grabbed my hand … that was the best day of my life, and I wouldn’t change that day for the world.”
