Vincent Enyeama has announced his retirement from international football following his spat with Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh.

Enyeama who plays for Lille OSC in France will continue to play for the club but will not be available for any Super Eagles games. He started his career with playing for Ibom Stars in 1999, and later on moved to Israel to play for Hapoel Tel-Aviv and eventually, Maccabi Tel-Aviv where he won a total of 4 cups in 4 years.
His individual awards include CAF Champions League Player of the Year: 2004; Footballer of the Year in Israel: 2009; UNFP Player of the Month: October 2013; UNFP Player of the Month: November 2013; 2014 Marc Vivien Foe Award winner; and King of The Pitch Award: 2014
